A new way to learn grammar and Vocabulary

Learning languages does not need to be done with mnemonics or other special techniques, however, if you can apply some meaning or association to learning you will remember the vocabulary and grammar better. The is a basic learning technique that can be applied to any subject from foreign languages to math.
Teaching to learn by Bookworm-When teaching children about number systems other than base ten, it’s useless just to announce the rules for adding or multiplying in, say, base 8. It’s much more exciting to look at how we tell time, and to explain that our system goes back to the ancient Mesopotamia, where they had a base 60 system. Children who are already practiced at turning 60 minutes into an hour, aside from being thrilled at this direct connection to ancient times, instantly grasp the abstract principle that there are bases other than 10, and will readily respond to lessons about how to apply this knowledge.
One method of adding meaning to language learning is to study the history, the origin and why of vocabulary words or grammar rules you are trying to learn. For example the Slavic languages have noun cases, like Latin or German. But English is light on noun cases, so why do you need cases at all if English does not really use them? If you read about how and why cases evolved, there are many theories, and what you can do in a language with cases, then it transforms a grammar rule into an interesting tool for expression and you will remember it better.
