A very effective method for learning foreign languages, particularly grammar is teaching it. Many classes I ask a student to prepare a lesson, and then teach it to the class on a grammar idea. I help out and make it low stress, but if you have to teach something you will know it much better than if you passively try to memorizes it. By teaching an aspect of language like grammar, you have to know it inside and out. Further it is almost a Socratic method of learning, that is, the knowledge you are learning come from you. If you do not have a class you can write a paper of a webpage. I create the page Polish grammar when I was learning Polish grammar. It helped me learn Polish grammar and now it helps others. Teaching to learn is an effective method of learning a language.
