Going to church and praying in a foreign language. Some things are meant to be holy and not a language learning technique. However if you are a going to church and praying and want to learn a language then try to go to not English services. You will get a lot out of it from a spiritual level. You will see how the Bible feels for example in another language, or the Our Father. After the ancient prophets did not speak English, and had a language that was full of gender and cases. Things will feel different and if you understand the language enough it will be mind opening. You will fell the more universality of faith.
