One world language

Linguists have dubbed it “proto-world” or “proto-sapiens.” language

The idea that all human language has a common root is a controversial theory, but even more is the idea of one world language.  The story of the tower of Babel is certainly a great story that alludes to the idea that all human language had one world language.  Now a linguist is putting together a clearer picture of what happened with the language and humans in prehistory.

“Around 50,000 years ago, something happened to our ancestors in Africa. Anatomically modern humans, who had existed for at least 150,000 years prior, suddenly began behaving differently. Until then, their conduct scarcely differed from that of their hominid cousins, the Neanderthals. Both buried their dead; both used stone tools; and as social apes, both had some form of communication, which some think was gestural.

But then, “almost overnight, everything changes very rapidly,” ” read more about one world language
I believe there was a dominant genetic mutation of some sort that made our brain grow in this unique way with regards to language development and in general.  I initially thought it might have been caused by an increase in protein from changing from a low protein jungle diet as primates to a prairie meat eating diet, in Africa.  However, when you consider and compare Neanderthals, who lived on a high protein diet this makes no sense, with Sapanies, it had to be a radical genetic change.

I would love to believe we all spoke one language at one point, it is an ideal theory, and after reading this article I think it could have been a reality.  I also think at some point we will all speak one world language.

It seems whether in physics or with language, science is looking for a unified theory of everything. I  think its something in our brains that want to make order, unity and wholeness out of disorder.  This is why the idea or theory of one world language is very appealing.

I am open to what others think on this subject of why did humans start speaking and using language and was there a proto-world language and will there be?
