Western Europe costs a lot in dollars

Falling dollar makes travel to western Europe ridiculous.

Why the dollar has fallen.

The dollar is falling because the -  The war.  

That is it. 

Let me explain: Fiscal spending (Over three trillion dollars) on the war crowds out capital investment in the private sector and especially research and development in new private sector innovation.   It initially provides a Keynesian stimulus, then makes the USA less competitive.  Yes China is a raising power as is Europe, but if the US investors had been able to focus on private sector innovation and investment overseas, more than big government spending on the war, the US would have been able to not only participated in the growth of these tiger counties, but also be the owner of the process via direct foreign investment. Further we can never make up lost ground when it comes to lost opportunities for new technologies, that could have been developed.  Instead we have three trillion towards destruction.  If anyone wants to counter this be my guest.

Fall of the dollar

The dollar is falling in this means Europe is more expensive.   I am an American that lives in Europe and I can feel it. The USA is not over.  It is not going to collapse or going into a depression.   Just the relative buying power of American will decline.  The American economy is so complex and diversified.  But if you want to take a nice trip to London or France be prepared to pay a small fortune unless your accomodations are very modest.  Now when I go to Slovakia for example I stay in a beautiful all wood apartment,  in the mountains, go to a spa all day and its total is less then thirty dollars. And there are cheaper places in big cities, but the Euro area is not one of them.

Raise of of Eastern Europe

There is no correlation between price and quality.  Remember this.  In fact I think there is a slight inverse correlation.  This is in my experience.  Often times people and services that put themselves out as exclusive are just greedy, whilst true value is found elsewhere.

Eastern Europe is the best value.  It is what Europe used to be in the eyes of American. Beautiful non commercial and historic.   In fact Eastern Europe is grander and older than Western Europe.  Further if you compare Western Europe with Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe for the same things is about 1/4 the price.  That is a luxury spa in Eastern Europe is about 1/10 the price while a hotel is about half the price.  I can get a spa massage in Krakow for 3 dollars in Western Europe you will pay 100 dollars.  The massage is actually better here also.  

Art?  do you like Art?  The Hermitage is so large it would take years to go through, if you like cafes, Krakow, Poland has more than any other city per square mile.    If you are looking for an amazing vacation I would look east not west for value and adventure.
