Another technique that might help in learning a language that might seem similar to mind mapping is drawing vocabulary words. What I mean by this is take a word you are trying to learn in your foreign and make the letters a picture. You do not have to be an artist I am not. So it I am trying to learn the Polish word for ‘writer’ which is ‘Pisarz’, you could draw the ‘P’ like a person with the top being a head and the ‘I’ being a writer’s pen. ‘S’ could be a scrolly signature ‘S’ etc. You can use some of all of the letters. But the act of writing and drawing will really help you remember words in a foreign language. How to learn a language
