Learning a language with metaphors
Metaphors are like barbells for your mind. They stretch and expand your brain in a form of mental gymnastic or yoga. One technique to break the monotony of learning a language is try to create metaphors in your target language. First start with simple metaphors “fast as a rabbit” , something to do with animals as they are concrete and fun. Then more to everyday things like weather, or traffic, next if so inspired try love metaphors. Most love poems or love phrases are metaphors, as simple sentences are in adequate to describe feelings.
Some people say that all language is a metaphor. This may or may not be true, but try this metaphor technique to spice up your language learning and you will be expressing more complex ideas in your target language in no time at all.
