Kashubian a cousin of the Polish language

Kashubian a cousin of the Polish language

You of course know the Polish language, but did you know there was a language called Kashubian. Kashubian is a Western Slavic language spoken by about 300,000 people. These Western Slavic people are descendants of an early Slavic tribe of Pomeranians. A tribe of Western Slavs that were not mixed into the Polish culture and language. Polish people might understand Kashunbian, but not very well. It is a separate language from Polish. I have been to Kashubian land in the north part of Poland, its a different land and culture and language but is situated completely surround by Poland. Although not a separate country from Poland they enjoy legal protection as a minority in Poland.
