Japanese animation for learning any language

If you always wanted to read books in a foreign language and you never had the motivation because with all the struggling with the language you are trying to learn you go bored, try watching Japanese animation with subtitles in your target language. Usually these films are bright and do not have a lot of dialogue so you can follow them anyway so it will no over challenge you. However, try to translate line by line the subtitles as they play. Translate the subtitles into your own language. If you are really good you can translate them from your own language to your target language. Subtitles can be obtained on any Internet database. You can set a goal of watching 10 Japanese animation movies. If you do this your target language will significantly improve. Why Japanese animation? You will not be distracted by a language that sounds close to your own, unless you are trying to learn Japanese of course.

It does not have to be Japanese animation mind you, if could be anything, however, I find that with traditional films there are a lot of distractions and they are often directed for shock and strong emotions with stupid plots, while Japanese animation is more like a fairy-tale.
