Best way for a baby to learn a language
Best way for a baby to learn a language
In the 1990s many ambitious parents would play language tapes to their children. However, the result after a decade of such attempts to transform their babies into polyglots and baby Einstein’s unfortunately did not prove successful. Why? Babies and small children need concrete real people to learn a language in a natural environment. Babies learn by seeing and hearing in real life situations. For adults CDs and mp3 work very well because humans understand abstraction and learn differently than babies. But for babies to learn a language they need to be exposed to a language 30% of their waking day in a stress free environment. If the babies are force feed the language they will get stressed out. So better than sending your baby to a baby Einstein camp to learn a language or trying hypnopedia on your baby to learn a language, it is better to just talk to your baby in a foreign language. Or if you can not talk to your baby in a foreign language hire someone to do it for you in a natural setting. This is the best way for a baby to learn a language.
One last note on babies and language learning is if you can not hire a language nanny for your baby you can give your children blocks to play with. Blocks help children to learn a language. Does this sound strange? Well children need real concrete things to learn and blocks are a good way to develop the language area of your children’s brain.
