Free foreign language books

A great free source of classic books if you are trying to learn a language is the Project Gutenberg. If you do not know about it check it out. It has classic books which have come into the public domain because usually they were written about 75 years ago and have no copyright. Any classic you can imagine is there for free, as well as many modern books. You can download it to a text file, for your palm, laptop, cell phone, ipod etc. The good news if you are trying to learn a language they have books in any foreign language for free. Yes foreign language books for free. So you can try out a book in your target language and see if that level is right for you. If you want to read in a foreign language try out Project Gutenberg. I think reading and translation is an excellent way to learn a language.
