Language certificates

Every language has a certificate program. For example in English there is something called “first certificate” In all languages there are equivalent tests, in Spanish, French, Polish, Russian, Italian, German and Ukrainian you can get something such as this test certificate. There is also intermediate level advanced and proficiency. Proceiency means you are like a University native in your target language. Many people say generally they want to learn a language. But one idea you might entertain is to try to achieve a certificate. My friend just took the intermediate level certificate for Polish, with the Polish government and is next going for advanced. If you set goals for yourself, this may accelerate your language learning because you have something you are reaching for.
