Ossetia | Why Russia invaded
I live in Eastern Europe and might have a better view point than simply watching TV as I know people from the region in question, from both sides. Georgian people are saying Ossetia is a peaceful region with no fighting. Most people are enjoying their summer vacations and relaxing. However, Russia has made claims that they are coming to the help of the Ossetia people, and the Russians have moved their army and tanks in to ‘protect’ these people from the waring Georgians. I think the former story sounds more likely than the Russian version.
Why Russia invaded Georgia
Here is why -
1)Georgia is connecting to Europe as it wants to join NATO. Russia is having trouble with Ukraine and certainly does not want another neighbor falling from their empire. So they are going to teach their neighbors a lesson. If you try to cooperate with anyone but Moscow you will pay. Now many NATO countries after this invasion are thinking twice before allowing Georgia to join NATO, as an attack on NATO would mean a world war.
2)With a route from the middle east to the black sea via Georgia - black sea - Ukraine- Europe, Europe does not need a Russian pipeline for oil.
Its very simple. These two reason are why Russia attacked Georgia. Russia does not care about human rights. They do not even care about their own citizens. On one hand, I have never meet a Russian person I did not like. But on the other, the government of Russia is nothing but a Czardom ruled by Czar Putin.

Dlaczego - to proste, Rosja chce uzyska? jak najwi?cej. Jedyn? niwewiadom? jest - jak wiele uzyska - cho? w tej chwili mo?na mie? obawy, ?e naprawd? du?o - nowy(prorosyjski) rz?d w Gruzji. Odr?bn? spraw? jest traktowanie mniejszo?ci narodowych - tutaj chyba nie ma jednoznacznych rozwi?za?. Oby tylko ofiar by?o jak najmniej, oby tylko sko?czy?o si? jak najszybciej.

At this point it is very clear Russia is the aggressor and the victors are the Ossetians and Georgians. Also it is very clear Putin is in charge.

Tak ale to niewiele znaczy, Gruzini zostan? przydeptani, Rosja zrobi co zechce, Europa poczeka. Gdyby ceny ropy i gazu by?y ni?sze to by?oby lepiej.

The more I read about what is going on in Georgia I am understanding. The reason Russia attacked Georgia is Georgia wants to connect to NATO and even the EU. Russia does not want this. They also do not want this to happen to Ukraine. Russia wants it like it was in the 1970s a series of satellites that revolve around Moscow and the oligarachs.

It seems like Russia is agressor and The USA and others coutries whiter and nice without any bad history.Lets make it clear.Russia is the biggest country it the world who has oil,gas and entire table of chemical elements,including gold and dimonds.Russia was the USSR like everubody remembers.So USSR was agressor,but if u remember this right let u remind who gave u a freedom from fascist invasions,who won the second world war?then why u close yours eyes on events in ukraine or Estonia when they reanimate fascism in their countries?What about Georgia then u should just go there and look what happened with the country after Rose revolution and Saakashvilli ruling.If its too fascinated for u then go to Ukraine and look what happenes to the best friend of Saakashvilli -Uscenko and his people after orange revolution.Both were supported by Bush and his administration.And then go to Russia and compare what happened to this country after 1991.What another country would be able to reanimate the economy so fast and become one of the strongest in the world.Anyway Russia is the strongest country who has oil and smart hesd now and in the near future is not going to serve to Europe.And truth will appear in anytime what happened in Ossetiain 2,5 10 years.But by this time you will find another thing to judge.but Winner can be judged.

that line u got about “Russia does not care about human rights” it sounds like something my mum said once happened in Russia there was a mine and the miners went on strike demanding more pay and better work conditions. instead of listening to the workers the mine was flooded and the problem literally washed away.
however, me personally, have never met a mean russian person they’re really nice. sort of like the “arrogant French” i found are a lot less arrogant than the brits.
so it’s just the government, and not the ppl overall.
