Palm Chess, Playing chess on your Palm

What is the best game for your

What program on the market is best to plan on your ?  I found the best one was a free one.  Every program claims to be the strongest.  The one I found was not only free, but the easiest to use and perhaps the strongest.  It also has great skins and an opening book trainer better than the ones that cost money. This Plam program is called open and found here:  Palm chess

History of

It dates back to the 1990s and was the original GNU DOS program.   I think on my new it play about 2700 ELO.   That is as good as it gets.  They ran tests on slower older palms and it’s was about 2400, but that was a while back now with new speeds I think it’s over 2700.  Wow.

- tiger

My first program was tiger.   It played ok, but in my opinion felt very artificial, like a computer.  When I change my I could not get the free upgrade as mentioned on their site and the customer service was not the best.  I looked on download.com and I saw other people had the same experience so I can not recommend this program.

Other programs

Master is pretty good.  It is colorful and fun but the same as Open .
Pocket is not the strongest but is ok, if you are not an expert.
HAIRCS very good up there with Master
There is also genius which I do not know anything about.

Why pay for a game

Yes,  why pay for a program when the best one on the market is free.  Try it yourself.  It’s called open .   I even herd some of the commercial ones, took part of the code to this open source program.  It has seven different engines.  So it’s really seven programs in one, and each engine has many options.  Yes it’s like having seven programs in one and it’s free and lightweight.  Every Engine plays different.  It’s really better than the commercial ones in my opinion.  Free  has multi language interfaces, with translations in : English, French, Dutch, German, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish

My recommendation for Palm chess is Open for playing free palm chess
