Polish in the UK
In an ironic twist of fate English workers in some industries are screened out if they do not speak Polish. With the demographic shifts of the UK from waves of Eastern European, in particular Polish immigration, many jobs in Poland now require some level of Polish. Many Polish workers in the agricultural sector are seasonal rather than permanent workers, and do not have a command of English, therefore they do not command a high level of English if any as they are only temporary workers. Therefore, the permanent staff that supports these workers will be required by some firms to speak Polish.
Polish in the UK and England is everywhere.
