Reading children’s books in English is interesting, because I can read one in under five minutes. However, reading children’s books in a foreign language does not keep my interest as much as reading a classic in which every sentence you can think about. Children’s’ books often have a combination of simple vocabulary and slangy funny words for children. If this is one of your methods for learning languages, do it. Every method is good as long as you enjoy it.
